I see green people...

Yeah, the makeover might not have panned out- I was *wondering* what Michael was doing with that razor- but you guys made some really good points, especially with the societal norms thing. Edgy, indeed. A lot of these jokes are really harsh. They can only get away with it because there's still this threshold of tolerance around homophobia that there isn't around other (formerly) persecuted minorities. You could NOT get away with making jokes according to somebody's race these days- you'd get shunned by everybody- but the gay jokes are still okay. The big difference is that it's "okay" to persecute THIS minority.
